Though we call ourselves LOTR confessions, we're happy to take confessions about anything Tolkien.
This blog was inspired by blogs such as Harry Potter Confessions and Criminal Minds Confessions.
If you're looking for a specific character or book, the tag page has most of it sorted.

I still admire the perfection that the soundtracks are. Howard Shore is a genius, but I can’t believe he composed for Twilight. His work for it can’t compare to the LotR one.
As much as I love the genius that is Howard Shore’s score for LOTR, I can’t help but feel that “Minas Morgul” was far from menacing and really out of place, taking away from that scene.

The complete recordings are almost as awesome as the movies. I usually listen to them while reading the book. They’re perfect.
I really hope that the music for the Hobbit will not only be done by Howard Shore, but be based around the song “Concerning Hobbits.” It only seems appropriate.
I listen to all ten hours of the Complete Recordings almost every day, if I can. It’s the music I study to, read to, draw to, anything to. It’s the background music of my life. I could never be more grateful to Howard Shore for this wonderful gift.
Howard Shore did such an amazing job with the score that I can’t listen to anything but film scores these days because of him
Whenever I’m sick, the Lord of the Rings soundtrack is the only thing I listen to. It makes me feel loads better every time.
Always read the books with the Howard Shore soundtrack.
